About

I have always been a bit of a dreamer, but I find that the things I most enjoy get me out of my head and into the work of my hands.  Whether I’m threading a needle to sew a toy for a child’s birthday or pushing a spade into rich, dark soil to plant tomatoes, the work of my hands is the work that makes me feel connected and grounded and whole.  This blog is where I’ll chronicle that work, and the thoughts that it gives rise to.

    Hi Kathy,

thanks for your comment on my Yarn Along post. I have to say that the Knitted Farmyard book is not one on my wishlist. I bought the Knit a Fantasy World version of this book a few years back. It is by the same publishing house and has many of the same patterns and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The instructions were not clear and my efforts looked nothing like the ones in the pictures, which by the way didn’t seem to match up with the instructions either!

I would love to have a look at this book though -Knitted Animals, Anne-dorthe Grigaff. I have a few patterns that people have photocopied for me from this book (the chicken and the duck) and they have worked out perfectly.

    See ya next week!

    Dee.
